IMPORTANT MODIFICATIONS WHICH R.{Sir Henry Royce} CONSIDERS SHOULD BE URGED FORWARD FOR 40/50 AND 20HP CHASSIS.

Dealing with R5/M21.11.23, all four items, namely:-

1. The Goshawk 11. wiring and press button on the column.
2. The locked switchbox.
3. Vacuum feed.
4. Larger steering wheel, etc.

have been arranged to be brought in with EAC.11. It is not convenient to bring them in before, owing to the following facts;-

A/- The Rolls Royce Dynamo is not available at present, but will be as soon as EAC.11. trial runs are settled.

B/- The Locked Switchbox we have only just obtained drawings of from WW.

C/- Vacuum Feed. This again was arranged for EAC.11. but could be possibly brought in for EAC.111, beyond U. series.

D/- Larger Steering Wheel. This is in thehands of the Exp. Dept. and could be brought in beyond U. Series for EAC.111.

Referring now to R6/M21.11.23, we have produced a set of Shutters in accordance with the 20HP type for application to the 40/50 and instructed same to the Exp. Department.

With reference to R7/M21.11.23, the improved depth of Frame and stiffer Cross Members are awaiting WW. We have discussed this with them on different occasions, but pressure of EAC.111, work has prevented them dealing with the matter.
