Y3806 TO ~~B.Y.~~ FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M14.6.27. C. to ~~PS.~~ HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. Y3806 Herewith we send N. sch. 2424. shewing the lubrication for the front and rear ends of the front springs, etc. We are using banjo connections where-ever possible because they appear to be neater and look as though they would be cheaper. We notice that America drill the banjo set screws and it will be convenient for us to drill them sometimes. We should like Derby to say whether they prefer drilling in all cases or whether the suggested milled grooves would be preferable. We have not yet decided whether to use steel tubes, hard brass, or copper. If the former could be kept from rusting it appears they would be preferable.
