Herewith we send N.sch.2423 shewing the position of the pump on the dash.

It will be seen that we have modified the standard Enots pumps, neither of those submitted to us being quite suitable. It would appear to be almost impossible to get a sufficient pressure conveniently on the vertical one, and the horizontal one does not lend itself to getting on to the dashboard.

We have not however professed to re-design the pump, but have taken the same parts entirely with the exception of the body casting, which we suggest should allow the pump to be inclined. Would Derby please take this matter up with the makers of the system with a view to getting this pump constructed.

The details of the trunk oil pipes, etc.etc., will be more fully dealt with full scale.

We are sending you this system piecemeal on R's instructions as we complete the varios components, and therefore slight modifications to some of the proposals will probably have to be made from time to time.
