SR 238 (10 BKS.) (SH57.29-6-29.) MP 224358 X8672 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC Order No.: PC 141 Customer's No.: X Date: July 11th 1927 Armature With 28 Slots Attached is a rough sheet of curves obtained with three armatures of the 28 slot type in conjunction with the carcase of dynamo CH 85; our standard wide brush machine. These represent an attempt to get as near as possible to the WB{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} standard representative curve by altering the B angle only; retaining the standard C angle of 122°. The curve for one of the armatures is not complete owing to the solder at the commutator melting and being thrown while taking the curve. This must have been due to too rapid heating up of the machine to 80°C. The peak amperes obtained and the corresponding B angles are:- 1 12.3 amperes. 9.4° retard. 2 11.5 " 11.0° " 3 12.3 " 9.7° " Signed: Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
