Brake testing procedures and the redesign of combined hand and foot brake systems.

(sheet 2) of the testing, and may suggest that all possible tests have not yet been made, e.g. heating up all the brakes considerably and then putting on the hand brake and leaving the car on a gradient - using the hand brake under these, or other conditions with the foot brake nearly worn out. Our object is not to discourage the use of a combined hand and foot brake, but to avoid the possibility of having to make a hasty redesign of the system, in a necessarily limited time, because the recommended system for some unforeseen reason, does not prove a success.
