BENSPORT GEARBOX

Replying to SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/D91132, since Mr. Hardy was moved from 'CamachaHenry Royce's office in West Wittering' to 'ElmsteadHenry Royce's home in West Wittering', taking the gearbox and shock damper work with him, these two items have not really been anything to do with me as R.{Sir Henry Royce} takes a direct interest in them.

I have however seen Mr. Hardy this morning and he informs me that Derby now have all particulars of the Bensport gearbox except the hand brake lever, a comparatively small item, and a small modification to the 3rd motion shaft, both of which are just about to be sent to Derby.

I know that Mr. Hardy has been working very hard on this box, late at night, etc. Unfortunately he has been off ill for the past few days, but he has now resumed work again.
