26.G.V1.

Will you please fit the 40° cams to the servo of 26.G.V1. at the earliest possible opportunity.

40° cams are instructed for production and should therefore be run. The 35° cams were fitted to 26.G.V1. to overcome the complaint that Thermoid linings made the brakes heavy to operate. The resulting increase of front braking was unfortunate, and we are now so frightened of high proportions of front braking that we want the 35° cams off again.
