X1053. Expl. Dept. 29th May. 1931. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KT. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., 40-42, Newman Street, London. W.1. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 27th. instant together with print of the downdraught carburetter. We note that you have no detailed information on this carburetter yet, but note that you are preparing some. We should be glad if you would let us have it as soon as it comes to hand, and in the meantime we thank you for the details you have given us. There is one point in connection with the 36 D.U.P. carburetter that we should like to query. At the present moment we have a 3 1/4 litre engine giving its peak power output at approx. 3500 RPM. From the table at the back of the form it would appear that 36 D.U.P. carburetter is too small for this output. Will you please let us have your views on this. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
