The Mercedes people have mentioned to Barkers that they have another set of gearing for the back axle comprising two crown wheels and two double bevel wheels. They also have two other gear wheels for the gear box. The gear ratio of the car at present is 3.22 to 1, and with the gearing mentioned above the ratio can be altered to 3 to/1.
