Hotel de France. Chateauroux. Indre. France. 16th November 1934. To He/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From wHH. We have received your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 17/EW. 14.11.34. We are pleased to hear you are pleased with the steering of 21 G IV. It remains to be seen whether we shall be so pleased. The roads are getting into that ideal condition when one wonders whether the car will survive or not. We warn you, nothing but the steadiness of the Cadillac will henceforth suit us. It will be held to, more rigedly than our honour of standardisation. we are not admitting that it is perfect, it is too low geared, but potholes etc. are taken with the same ease as a billiard ball would travel over a hair on a billiard table. We note your remarks re the clutch and engine. G.W.H. | ||
