We find that by an oversight your memo above referred to was not answered, confirming our wish for all chassis in future, both R-R and Bentley, to have additional wiring enabling a changeover switch to be included in the lighting set as well as the foot switch which controls the headlights.

It is agreed that in the case of all Bentley chassis we shall include free of charge this change-over switch, because we include all lamp equipment in the price of the Bentley chassis.

In regard to the R-R, we propose to supply to the customer free of charge this changeover switch with all complete cars that we supply, and with all chassis with which we also supply the lamp equipment.

To summarise we can put it this way - that with all chassis, or cars, Bentley or R-R, where we supply lamps we shall also supply this changeover switch without cost.
In the case of R-R chassis supplied without lamps, where the Agent or customer provide their own lamps, we are advising all Retailers what we are doing, so that they can do the same if they wish to give their customer a similar benefit.

I hope this puts the matter quite clearly. We should like this additional wiring to come through on all chassis immediately, as we have already started fitting these changeover switches in London.
