We would like to send along our Fitting Manager on Monday to investigate the cause of the failure of the one jack to which reference is made. The writer has been looking into this matter at this end, especially in view of the fact that failures are almost unknown, and finds that the particular jacks in question were made up rather hurriedly by hand. We mention this not with the idea of offering an excuse but we are sure that in the circumstances you will appreciate the position. We now await the result of our Engineer's visit.
