Dear Mr. Taylor,

I should like to thank you for the opportunity of seeing the 8-cylinder Alpha Romeo.

There is one point I was not able to make sure of, and that is the method of bolting together the two halves of the crankshaft with the timing gears. If you do take this to pieces and would send us a sketch of the assembly we should be very grateful. I think it is probable that the gears have to be threaded over from the outside ends of the crankshaft, and would like to be sure of this.
