Brakes. It is proposed to standardise the A.M.R. liners to the brake shoes. We are not proposing to adopt steel shoes until we have had more experience. The actual increase in the percentage of front braking on this car was that it was increased from 45% to 50%. The brake levers to the front have been increased 24%.

Hydraulic Dampers. We are satisfied that the new type dampers are as free from leaks as the standard dampers which we have been fitting for several years, and have much less distortion of the shaft. There is no suggestion of modifying the shock absorbers in this respect. The question of whether we use a washer under the valve or drilling the valve has not been settled. The first cars will be sent out with drilled valves.

Exhaust System. This car went away with a standard manifold and washers. This arrangement is the best we know of and is giving satisfaction to customers. We know of nothing better.

Ignition. We were trying on this car an experimental condenser of less capacity than standard. As a result of the test we propose continuing with the standard condenser.

Butler Stop Lamp Switch. We are taking the failures of this switch up with the makers. In the meantime E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is proposing to design a switch of our own.

Oil Consumption. Under the conditions of running in France we think the oil consumption is normal.
