Dear Sirs,

Starter Motor for "Goshawk II".

Replying to your letter of the 13th inst., ref: WCT/3 on above, we send herewith one blue print of each of the following drawings:-

D.50203 - Outline.
D.50208 - Armature Shaft.
D.50209 - Bearing Bracket.

D.50203 - Outline. We have not been able to shew the position of the terminals in the side elevation as your drawing L.888/a does not indicate the positio. It is not of much importance to us whether the terminals are lengthways on the machine.

D.50208 - Armature Shaft. The motor end of this shaft has been made in accordance with your drawing L.887/1.

D.50209 - Bearing Bracket. This drawing is identical with D.50002 except that the new drawing embodies the dimensions which you added to the blue print of same and returned to us. We are manufacturing this in gun-metal and will send it on to you complete with ball bearing and necessary locking nut etc.,

The above details are being put in hand by our works immediately, and will be dispatched to you as soon as possibleto be fitted to the motor.

We find it is possible to remove the commutator end bracket for inspecting the brushes without fouling the breather on the crankcase.

All the outstanding points now appear to be
(Contd).
