-3- There are, of course, a large number of experiments in hand to reduce costs without affecting efficiency. We could compromise on the wheel weights by using 6.5" tyres instead of 7" which would reduce the difference between this equipment and that of the 25/30 by more than 50%. With the light gauge frame, Packard type suspension, modified radiator, lightened exhaust system, etc., we shall be disappointed if the chassis weight is not reduced by 1 cwt. at least. If we go ahead on the suggested lines, we shall still have our work cut out to overcome the teething troubles we are bound to have on the brake system front suspension, etc. during our 15,000 miles test.
