SECRET. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/PJH6/M.12.2.37. Wraith Suspension. We find that By's Department have made a mistake on the Wraith suspension yokes which results in our having a castor angle of -1/2° instead of +1° This causes the car to be unstable on the road. Will you please make a pair of yoke pieces to the attached Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 325 for 24 G VI as soon as possible. We have dimensioned this to give 1 1/2° of castor as we wish to try this in preference to the designed figure of 1°. We think the modified yoke can be made without altering the forging, but if this is not so, it will only be necessary to twist it slightly. 25 G.VI. should also have yokes to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 325.
