-2- HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.6.9.35. Valve Gear. Standard. Other Particulars. As for B-16, in RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/JR.{Mr James Royce}2/EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}8.8.35. In order to get a quick test on this unit, the proposal is to take car B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} and do nothing but fit the large bore engine. This car will be available on the 16th. We believe that all the parts are available for this specification except the air intake system, and the crankcase which is on the point of completion. We shall be glad to know whether there is any other point which may hold it up. The proposal is to follow on with the new cylinder block to EB.2561 and valve gear to BY/CS.3/EH.31.8.35, and fit these in France.
