So far as we can gather there is no complaint concerning the contact breaker of this machine. The report we have received from the Test Dept. runs as follows :-

"The magneto you handed to us for test type EW6. No.99802 developed a pronounced knocking noise in the course of a run of about 40 miles. As you have heard it for yourself on a chassis, we do not propose to say anything more about it.
As a sparking machine it functioned quite well during our test."

Our proposal is to retain the former machine No.99171 until such time as you return No 99802 to us, and to postpone the decision on what we will do concerning that former machine until that time.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
