WIRING CONDUITS ON PHANTOM III CHASSIS.

Re-complaints of Propeller Shaft fouling Conduit carrying Battery Cable on Banjo Crossmember.

Suggestions made in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.4/AP.27.11.36., that the conduit may have sagged a little would suggest that a flexible conduit has been used.

The instructions are, however, that a steel drawn conduit should be used at this point, carried well above the aperture in the crossmember, and it would not be possible for the prop. shaft to foul, until .125 of the crossmember had been worn away.

Therefore, before making any alterations we suggest that it should be ascertained that the conduits fitted on the chassis in question are strictly correct.
