264. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to He. [Text is struck through] re WXA-1 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E4.4.38 I am sorry to say that the starting when the engine is hot is, if anything, worse than when I had the car before. I also note that it seems to flood, i.e. drip on the road very easily. You will remember that flooding on an incline was one of the things I reported. I will discuss the matter further with you to-morrow and explain the exact symptoms under which it occurs to you and your carburetter expert who, I think had better come up to London by appointment in order to go out on it, but I am anxious that he should go out in the country to get the actual conditions that I will explain before he attempts to alter it so that he will know if he has effected a cure or not.
