Luggage Carrier and
Rear Apron.

Referring to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M20.12.30 the arrangement shown on R.Sch.7032 certainly seems to be a very great advance on the present No.4 type luggage carrier.

I should be glad to know how soon we can expect to see this fitted up on one of the cars referred to.

We think it unnecessary to go to the expense of new wings as we can easily judge as to the arrangement of the apron and luggage grid without this.

There is just one point we are sorry to see in the scheme and that is that the tail lamp is in a very exposed position, i.e. stands out beyond everything else at the back, and when Derby are fitting up the scheme, we should be glad to see whether they cannot improve on this.

Perhaps it and the number plate could be carried lower down than generally. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}
