My dear Oy., Many thanks for your letter of February 11th. Quickaten Steel. The high chrome and silicon steels were investigated by us in 1916. As far as I can gather, they were an off-shoot of Brierley's invesitgations on stainless steel. Shock Absorbers. We enclose herewith a report on the Delco shock absorbers. You may be interested in this report. We should like to know how you have got on with the adjustable Delco damper. On riding qualities we are still struggling. I am not satisfied yet that we have a car on this side to equal the best of the cars I tried at Springfield. We have taken up the question of a twelve cylinder car and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} went to Berlin to try the twelve cylinder Maybach. Enclosed herewith his report which may interest you. If you happen to run across Neracher you might tell him that we have fitted the gearbox he sent over on to one of our 25 HP. cars and are very pleased indeed with the silence of the third speed and the side shaft silence.
