-2- Maybach jaws and find that the only satisfactory way of using them is similar to the Maybach, in which there is no neutral position between the top and third. We were rather interested to see that Graham Paige, which we always thought was very good example of the spool gear, appears to be going over to a Helical with a synchro mesh on a Warner gearbox. What is the position as regards spool gearboxes in America, are they unreliable or is it that they are too expensive?. As regards silence, taking helical and epicyclic we consider the spool gear much more silent. We are having a struggle to find buyers for motorcars, especially the big ones, but fortunately we have got a good batch of orders for aero engines.
