27961 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW. 17th January, 1935. Neville Rollason Esq., The Manor House, Tittensor, Stoke-on-Trent. Dear Neville, Thank you for your letter of the 16th. It is possible that the performance of the car is down slightly owing to the fact that in overcoming the original defects a certain amount of weight has been added. However, this is not very much and the performance does usually improve with running. With regard to the piston slap, I certainly think that our Repair Dept. would like the opportunity of listening to the engine if you could send the car over before you leave for Switzerland. I am handing a copy of your letter on to them, however, so that they can make arrangements with you. If there is anything out of the ordinary I will certainly take an interest in it. Dick will be taking delivery of his car in a week. I think he ought to find it a better car than his first one. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
