In accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.9/MH.{M. Huckerby}31.1.38, please note the following final adjustments are required to ensure satisfactory working of Radiator Shutters. (1) Adjust end play of shutters after radiator and wings have been finally fitted to chassis to be .010 to .020. (2) Adjust the shutter coupling to give .100 initial tension on calorstat. This may be done by releasing clamping nut K.4006, pull forward the calorstat bellows .100 and whilst in this position secure clamping bolt again. To ensure that original amount of travel is still obtained viz. .425, a new cover flange EW.1790 is added to the L.O.F. with length of guide portion reduced by .100. BY/CS. | ||
