Bailey - Chief Engineer} in BY.1/HR15.11.40 that he had passed to you a copy of my Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}5/KW13.11.40, which had reference to the cost of the Vanvooren body acquired by Experimental Dept. just before the war. We are being pressed by the Board of Trade to complete our claim in respect of our property damaged in the recent bombing of Lillie Hall, and this is now the only item outstanding. I* should accordingly be obliged if you would let me have this information as early as possible. If you are unable to let me know the exact cost of the body, etc., to R-R, perhaps you could give me an approximate figure which would be acceptable for the purpose. Bs.{A J.
