Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} SECRET. EAC. 'V' SERIES. The present EAC. 'V'. series car that is running in France has certain faults which would not allow us to deliver such cars to customers. We are keeping the car running in France in order to test out other parts of the chassis. We estimate it will be at least 2 weeks before we can send another car to France with the corrected pieces for starting a further 10,000 miles test. We have already reported on the faults on 98-NK car - the most serious of them are :- (1) Front support tube for engine has allowed engine to drop. (2) Engine undershields ineffective. (3) Steering unsatisfactory. (4) Oil consumption three times as much as we expect as a minimum. (5) Gudgeon pin knocks. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
