[Handwritten: X2565] Since it is thought that I ought to use a 40/50 as my usual car, I should be very pleased if it could be fitted with a Beatonson all weather head instead of being an ordinary open car. This is the lightest, fastest, and least expensive that will serve my purpose for weather protection, and appearance. It is also a type which I think will entirely supercede the open touring car. Naturally it is not so smart looking as a permanent closed type, but far better than an ordinary open car, principally because it is usually upholstered in leather. Since the Goshawk with Beatonson head has been smartened up to come here it looks quite nice again. [Handwritten: 5 G II] R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
