-2- HAND THROTTLE. Easily accessible from driver's seat with a graduated quadrant. CLUTCH. Operated by a foot pedal with ratchet. Clutch is only required for warming up and paying out cable between launches. PETROL TANK. A 33 gallon petrol tank is provided together with a M.R. type filter and twin S.U. pumps to the carburetters. BATTERY. 12-volt battery 56 ampere hours at 20 hour rate for starting and ignition. LUBRICATION. Foot operated Bijur pump, lubrication throughout. SUB FRAME. The launching gear is built up on a sub frame to drop easily on the standard 5 ton 4-wheel R.A.F. trailer. INSTRUMENT PANEL. Instrument board in operator's cabin with switchbox, ammeter, petrol guage, oil pressure and water temperature, clock, red ignition warning light, green petrol warning light. The speedometer is supplied in line with operator's vision. OPERATOR'S CABIN. Gives visibility in every direction. The operator being protected in a wire mesh cage. Finally if found necessary, this can be enclosed with non-breakable glass. A heater could be supplied. PAYING IN ROLLERS. All rollers are anti-friction. The bearings are ball or rollers fully lubricated. Minimum gap between rollers 1.000. GUARDS. Cable guard round cable drum, easily detachable where-ever possible round rollers. | ||
