ROLLS ROYCE, LTD. 14-15 CONDUIT STREET LONDON - W-1 TELEGRAMS 'ROLHEADRolls-Royce telegram address, PICCY, LONDON' TELEPHONES MAYFAIR 6040, 6041, 6042, 6043 IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE QUOTE 87772 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}12/E3.11.30 3rd November 1930 Dear Hives, I meant to have reminded you before you went to America that we have sent out two 20/25's, Nos.GLR-29 and GLR-31 for propaganda purposes. The idea was to let them have two of these cars with a'view to testing the market to see if there were a real possibility of substantial sales sufficient to warrant the left-handing of the chassis, which we were quite prepared to do if they would place an order for a sufficient quantity. I should be glad if you would unobtrusively make enquiries as to what these cars are really being used for as I should like to know that they are being used for the purpose for which they were sent. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, [Signature] E.W.Hives Esq., C.M.I.Mech.E. c/o Messrs. Rolls-Royce of America Inc., Springfield, Mass. USA. | ||
