-4- to the inexperienced driver who would not appreciate the skill and engineering required to bring this transmission to its state of perfection. Such a person would be drawn to the newer type of gear set because of its near fool-proof operation. The gears throughout their range are the quietest ever experienced. 6. CLUTCH. The clutch is probably the outstanding deficient characteristic. The engagement is harsh. The clutch has a tendency to grab or chatter and is certainly sub-standard when compared to almost any American production car. Whether this fault could be remedied by adjustment or repair or whether it is typical is not known by the writer. 7. ROADABILITY. This classification is a big factor and certainly a big one in favor of this car. The writer has never had the pleasure of driving a car the balance of which was as good and the road-clinging qualities so outstanding. The ease with which the car can be driven around corners at high speed is astounding and so far ahead of anything yet experienced that in this respect it sets a new standard for this feature. (Sgd.)
