+4265 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. Mr Booth BY5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 15.9.24. 20 HP. CHASSIS. SIDE STEERING TUBE. RE IMPROVED METHOD OF LUBRICATION SHOWN ON LF. 469. The scheme consists in producing two flats on the balls, drilling through the sliders and introducing the grease by one greaser so that pressure is exerted from end to end of the system through central holes in the sliders. One hole passing through the ball and small holes passing out from the sliders to lubricate the wearing surfaces on their outer edges. If this scheme shows any improvement over the standard, we would like to incorporate it in the next series of cars. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
