40/50 Chassis. Instrument Group.

We have received complaints from the Test Dept. that when the instrument group is viewed from the driver's seat, it is possible to see the white aluminium of the casting which carries the instruments between the black dial of the instruments and the mount.

We have overcome this difficulty by having the castings black enamelled, but EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} now raises the question whether the lighting effect will in any way be altered.

Would you please have this modification embodied on Experimental cars and let us have your report on the subject.
