Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW. 3rd October, 1934. Captain S.B. Wilks, The Rover Company Ltd., Coventry, Eng. Dear Captain Wilks, Thank you for your letter of Oct. 2nd. We are very grateful to you for your offer of your wobbling machine for Sunday. We should like to take advantage of this and unless we hear to the contrary will be at your Works on Sunday morning next at 10 a.m. The tyre size is 5¼ x 18, track 4' 8". I am going to Paris to-morrow and it is therefore doubtful whether I shall be able to get over myself. However, I will ensure that a technical man is on the job who will be able to take full advantage of the results. If you want to tell us anything further about the job, will you please write or ring up Mr. Hives, as I shall be away. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
