1139 Experimental Dept. 4th. October 1938. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}16/MH.{M. Huckerby} R.H.Collier, Esq., Collier's Corner, South Yardley, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sir, We are returning the "Luber finer" filter which you submitted to us some time ago, untested and as received. The reason we are doing this is that no matter how successful it came out with regard to its cleaning ability we have no application for it, by reason of its weight, dimensions and cost. For a filter to be considered for a car, the above are important items, and regard the filter submitted as being more suitable for some stationary test plant where weight, dimensions and initial cost are not so important. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
