Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Hyl/C20913. September 20th.1913. Report on Steering Position.Chassis 2345. I do not think that any advantage would be gained by moving the steering column bodily upward and keeping the angle the same as before. The steering wheel would obstruct the view of the driver unless the seat was raised a similar amount. If this was done the leg room would not be required, therefore the seat should be moved forward and the column shortened which brings you into a similar position to one of the more upright positions of our steering. If any small advantage were gained by the proposed alteration I feel sure that it would not justify the expense of carrying out the work. (Sgd) Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} | ||
