Coils Nos 4405 and T145X ex Repair dept.
These two coils when examined and tested shewed a weakness of secondary spark. The continuity of the winding was OK and the coil quantities measured on the bench were also OK.
It is considered that the fault occurred owing to leaky secondary insulation, and both coils were unwound. It might be added that both coils were treated with paraffin wax as described in WC69 without any appreciable improvement accruing thereby.
Coil No 4405 when unwound shewed that the oil paper on the secondary winding in some places was still
