Space 1306. To Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} SECRET. File Ev {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 6/26.1.40. c. Ev {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} /HH. ALUMINIUM ALLOY TORQUE ARM. FRONT SUSPENSION. SENIOR RANGE. We send herewith prints of the scheme for an aluminium alloy die cast torque arm for the front suspension of the models of the Senior Range. The original of the scheme PL.96. is attached to Ev {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} /HH's copy. Although it would be possible to have wider flanges to the 'T' Section on the larger models it is not so on Rippletto. It is not possible to increase the sections at the top and bottom of the window, the latter being controlled by the crass-steering tube and the outer upper and lower limits by frame and ground clearances respectively. We have shewn the lightening holes as on the Rpl, Model but we feel that they save so little weight as to be not worth while unless they can be cast. They may be of use in connection with the control of casting shrinkage. Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
