For attention of Mr. Robotham.

Dear Sirs:

We thank you for your letter of the 1st inst. (ref.Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/MJ) and note that you are contemplating changing to the 20" rim on your 40/50 car very shortly, and that we shall, therefore, be called upon to provide some 7.00 tyres for 20" rim incorporating the Silent tread.

Since you favoured us with your last visit, we have been working continuously on tests in regard to skidding, and we are quite sure that the results will be of considerable interest to you.

We would, therefore, welcome the opportunity of making some demonstrations, and for this purpose we would ask whether it would suit your convenience to pay us a visit on some day during next week entirely suitable to you. If the day you choose happens to be one on which the roads are in a suitable condition, we could provide the demonstration on a selected portion of road, but if the roads are not suitable, then we are prepared to carry it out on the surface of a special test track which we have at Fort Dunlop.

Would you be kind enough to advise us in due course.

Yours faithfully,
for DUNLOP RUBBER CO.LTD.,
W. Bond
Development Manager.
