X4050. Expl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ. Jan.1st.1930. The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Port Dunlop, Erdington, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Bond. We are contemplating changing to the 20" rim on our 40/50 car before very long and our Production Dept., will therefore be asking you to put in hand some 7" moulds for these tyres incorporating the silent tread. In view of this fact we should like to know how far you have got with the evolution of the improved Silent Tread, as we should like to incorporate any modifications that are available in the new moulds. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
