6017. To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Waller, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}20/JH.28.2.38. Thanks for your memo. of the 24th. The Delco-Remy coil is evidently wound for use on a car with a positive earth. However, reversing the primary connections, as you have already done will put matters right. With regard to the Bentley we note that the spark over to the induction pipe occurred when using the FL.30.X. type of KLG. plug. This type is approximately .25" shorter on the barrel than the standard FLB.30X type. From these results we can eliminate this type of plug for use on the Bentley. We are sending under separate cover a new set of standard FLB.30.X. for trial on this car. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} | ||
