We are proposing to standardise either the Lucas or Delco-Remy coil and for this reason are very interested in their respective merits.

We notice in your report of the 18th inst. that missing occured on 6.B.IV. due to wide plug gaps. There is a doubt however whether this is due to the clearance of the induction pipe to No.4 plug. Will you please again open up the plug gaps on this car, and if missing occurs, fit the Delco-Remy coil and see if this cures the trouble.

At the moment we are of the opinion that the fault lies in the closeness of the induction pipe, not the coil.
