Tyre Gaiters

Please let me know why Wefcos have been selected in place of Jeavons and what quotations the Works had before them when they selected the Wefco. Also, have we gone into the matter to ascertain whether Jeavons could make us a gaiter in the same style as their ordinary gaiter, but with the tongue arrangement which is supplied with the Wefco.

My reason for asking is that when one looks at the two different gaiters, the Jeavons look such a very much better job - better material, better grease fitting and better interior wick arrangements for distributing the grease - in fact, a more Rolls-Royce looking job than the Wefco.

I am sending the two samples herewith.

BJ.
