Phantom III.
Sessions Hydraulic Jacks.
In accordance with E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/HP.23.11.35 we have changed all the pipe unions from the flange joint to the recommended type of olive joint. To do this we have modified schemes already issued to you, and therefore we re-issue herewith LeC 4794, Tank on Dashboard, and LeC.4810, flexible connection and control pipe to pump. Will you kindly arrange to have destroyed all previous prints of these two drawings.
In accordance with E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}2/HP.23.11.35 we have shown no details of the interior of the pipe joints, as these parts have to be designed and made by Sessions Jacks Ltd. The details which it is proposed to send to them need only show the dimensions of the feet for bolting the same.
We also send herewith LeC 4820, previously unissued, showing the flexible tube from the frame to the rear axle. As in the previous case of the fittings for the pipe connections and the flexible pipe, these will be supplied by Sessions Jacks Ltd.
For the experiment using these jacks in conjunction with the Jackall Pump, the parts shown on this drawing will be required.
It will be noted that the flexible pipe is on the off-side of the car, both for the final Sessions job and for the Jackall experiment.
