S/W. (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}). <strikethrough>c.c. to JLR.</strikethrough> x634 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}21/MC15.3.35. 99-SK Trials Continental. Confirming our telephone conversation of this morning, to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s instructions we are arranging for Barkers who built the body of this chassis to apply to it the insulation scheme you have developed in connection with the Bentley. We are sending the car across to Barkers with your man, Mr. <strikethrough>F.{Mr Friese}</strikethrough> Wyman, so that the latter may explain the treatment and the proposal is that the dashboard shall be treated as far as possible, pending the receipt from you of the special petrol tap and oil union and any other special parts which may be required to permit complete application of the insulating material. We shall be glad if you will kindly get these special parts through as soon as you can. They had better be sent to JLR at Lillie Hall, so that he can arrange for them to be fitted. Hn{F. C.
