John Thompson regarding SPECTRECodename for Phantom III Side Frames, they now write that the specification of Steel they are using in such members is to hand, and is as details below: Three casts were used. Carbon from .21% - .24% Silicon " .027% - .047% Sulphur " .032% - .048% Phosphorus " .0217% - .028% Manganese " .52% - .55% They trust this is the information we require. We understand this is acceptable, and BY/EM is officially advising them. As far as the members themselves are concerned, they tell us an initial batch should be despatched on Monday (9th instant).
