X4553 In view of the fact that the Peregrine engine will be running up to 3000 r.p.m., we carried out some tests on the petrol pump to see the characteristic of its delivery at these higher speeds. We attach a curve showing how the pump behaves under these conditions. Two separate pump heads were tested to ensure that the results obtained could be regarded as the characteristic of the pump and not one particular casting. The results are satisfactory in that they show that the existing petrol pump will give adequate delivery for Peregrine with the higher engine speeds that it is likely to obtain. It may, however, be inadequate for Bensport. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
