LeC.2951 Petrol Pump.
Increased speed for Peregrine. .250" stroke.
.250" dia. Pipe Line - No filter.
In order to obtain this increased speed it was necessary to gear up the cam in relation to the motor. By doing so it was not possible to check the lower speed deliveries, thus the attached graph shows a speed range of 1250-3500 p.r.p.m. equivalent to 2500 - 7000 e.r.p.m.
The test pump showed a steady decrease in d delivery from 2000 p.r.p.m. to 3250 p.r.p.m. after which a sharp rise occurred, this was checked and found to be correct. Another pump was therefore tested and the figures obtained showed the same characteristics.
This variation in delivery was not due to variation in maximum pressure since the latter rose fairly steadily throughout the range.
