Dear Sirs,

Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley 2.B.5.
---------------------------

We thank you for your letter of the 8th.inst. and agree with your suggestion that with the use of the Cox windscreen control, we should try the screen without side catches. Will you leave these off please on 2.B.5.

We understand that Mr Honeyman has asked you to obtain some special door locks for use on experimental bodies. If you can get a set of these, we agree to them being fitted to 2.B.5. and should you receive a sample pair only, then we suggest you should fit them to one front and one rear door.

At the request of the Experimental Department we are endeavouring to lower the floor of the rear boot about 1 1/2" to increase the luggage container capacity.

We are setting out the modifications to the petrol tank fittings, and the shape of the luggage boot, the rear number plate and bumper, and these will be sent to you in a day or so.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

Car Project Office.
